I am in my third year of my PhD in Canadian Studies at Trent University. I received my Bachelors of Political Science from the University of British Colombia in 2017 and my Masters in Political Studies from the University of Manitoba. My Research interests focus on Arctic Geopolitics, Canadian Foreign Policy, Defence and Security, NATO, and NORAD.
I have won a number of awards and fellowships in my academic journey thus far: SSHRC-MINDS Joint Initiative Doctoral Award, WIDS-CGAI Fellowship (2022), the Shelagh Grant Endowment for Northern and Arctic Research, and the Duff Roblin Fellowship. (Full list of my awards can be found in the CV tab.)
I am a Research Fellow at the North American and Arctic Defence and Security Network (NAADSN) in addition to being a Co-Lead of NAADSN’s Emerging Leaders Node.
I am a Fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute (CGAI) and previously held the Women in Defence and Security – Canadian Global Affairs Institute Fellowship (2022).
I have published on a variety of issues such as: the International Agreement to Prevent Unregulated High Seas Fisheries in the Central Arctic Ocean, Northern Search and Rescue, NORAD, Continental Security, and the Northwest Passage.
